In 1993 Christopher Seebeck was a  furniture delivery driver with a business partner who insisted on listening to his Garth Brooks mix-tape in the delivery truck.

Seebeck, the founding member of the Minneapolis-based party band “8 foot 4,” has created a Garth Brooks tribute show that embodies the energy and excitement of a concert by the now-retired country music superstar.

“I’ve talked about doing this project for a couple of years and several friends and musicians told me to shut up and do it because I have the voice, the passion and the vision to recreate it right,” says Seebeck. “I was already a Garth Brooks fan, singing his songs in the car, the shower, anywhere, and I admired his genuine love and appreciation for his fans, not to mention his big, awesome concerts. I was bummed when Garth retired, and I think his music needs to be performed for all his fans who miss him.”

“I want the people who come to this show to feel the energy of a Garth Brooks show the minute they walk into the theater, and by the time the lights go down and the band strikes up they are ready to leave behind all their worries and sing along with every Garth hit they love.” To this end, Seebeck is employing a state-of-the-art light and visual effect company that will bring to life elements of Brooks’ famous stage shows—rain, thunder and lightning, and fire.

And what would Garth Brooks think about Seebeck’s project? “I’d like to think Garth would be flattered by what we’re doing—I hear that he’s said tribute bands are the ultimate compliment, and I hope he would appreciate us as well.” In fact, Seebeck has extended an invitation to Brooks to attend the State Theater concert. “Who knows? Maybe he’ll make an appearance!” Seebeck says

If this concert were a meal, then it would be a banquet. The World According to Garth had appetizers (the stage production!), entrees (the fantastic band!) and desserts (the light show that slaps you like a pie in the face!). Oh, yeah…and a centerpiece (Christopher Seebeck as Garth Brooks!) that brought it all together. You will walk away from this production with a full belly and a smile on your face. We loved it! - Connie Hawley, State Theatre Zumbrota, MN

This group put on an amazing show! The energetic vocals and Garth-lights and effects had an appreciative audience dancing and singing in the aisles. Christopher was a wonderful comunicator and his performance as Garth Brooks was so accurate you would have insisted he was Garth and the event came off without a hitch. I highly recommend them for any Garth fans out there! -Marie Marvin, owner and director of Crossings at Carnegie

Mind-Blowing!
We hired 'World According To Garth" for our first ever outdoor Labor Day celebration and the turn out was phenominal, and the performance was top-notch. Our customers left the show demanding to know when they would be back. we have never attempted a show of this magnitude and they more than delivered, I highly recomend this show for your next event.-Dave Cossack, owner Sak's Sports Bar MN
